Cabinet of Curiosities is a collection of sculptural embroideries inspired by the intricate structures and patterns of the natural world. Drawing on shells, coral, leaves, fossils and marine life, Meredith Woolnough transforms careful observation into delicate, three-dimensional works stitched entirely in thread. Echoing the spirit of early cabinets of curiosities, the exhibition brings together forms gathered through fascination, inviting us to look more closely at the extraordinary details, repeating patterns and elegant structures found in nature.

Marking twenty years of Meredith’s practice, the collection explores the relationship between observation, imagination and the ways we seek to understand and preserve the natural world.
