Growing up, the TV show Better Homes and Gardens was something we watched almost weekly. This beloved Aussie program was always fun, inspirational, and full of positive stories and creative people.

So last month, when I was approached to be featured on the show you bet I jumped at the chance. Seriously, what an honor! A real ‘pinch me’ moment.

A filming date was set and I frantically set about making new work and cleaning the studio like crazy. It was actually a wonderful excuse to declutter the studio, it looks really lovely now.

I’ll admit I was a bit nervous leading up to filming day, but the BHG team was an absolute dream to work with. They are a lovely group of people who work well together and are very good at what they do. It was fascinating to take a peek behind the curtain of TV production and see all of the thought and creativity that goes into bringing a show like BHG to life.

The team filmed me for the whole day, from two different locations (my studio and at the Merewether baths), and all of their footage was then edited down into a short and sweet 7-minute segment that you can watch here.

My little appearance on the show aired on Friday the 24th of May 2024. I watched the show surrounded by family and received so many lovely texts and comments from friends and followers who were watching as well.

I have since had a flood of lovely messages, comments, new followers, and opportunities. Thank you to everyone for your love and support. It means more to me than you will ever know.
